... the extravagant abundance of wild broom flowers ...

maddy has enjoyed a quieter pace of life in the last month. It's enough - she's been adapting to us laughing like children most of the time.

She was accustomed to our seriousness, our deep flowing sorrow, which has undergirded our compassion and our wisdom you see, because the very experiences through which we created our sorrow and seriousness (did you catch that... we created them, not the circumstances) also gave rise to our compassion and wisdom. So you might say they came together...

ensyth writes: our path to peace through fear, arrogance, and regret

Deep change always creates opportunity to greet both darkness and light in our lives.

Maddy has gone through a great gateway in her life. So have we, and the transition catalysed deep shifts. It's a strange symbiosis, this collaboration where she is part of us and separate from us at the same time. It means she has two experiences at once.

Forget abundance, enough is enough!

Seabirds, light and water on an incredibly beautiful Wellington summer evening.

What a relief to release the old idea of over-the-top abundance! I can't explain how much that's niggled at me over the years. Infinity in a boat, on the stream of Time

On Christmas eve the view from Brandon's Trig walk revealed a 'new land mass' on the horizon.

Maddy is taking a break and we're writing this month, so here's our story of 2012. For us it's been a year of growth and challenge, like white water rafting. Rough and wild, and hugely rewarding.
